Serrano Solar Power Plant and Battery Energy Storage System

The Serrano Solar Power Plant and Battery Energy Storage System is a 220-MW renewable energy project designed to advance sustainable power generation and grid resilience. WOODPATEL served as a critical partner in transforming this ambitious vision into reality, delivering a safe, compliant, and enduring infrastructure to support the plant’s operations.

Located within the 100-year floodplains of two major tributaries, the 780-acre site posed significant hydraulic challenges. Our team leveraged advanced hydrological modeling and innovative engineering strategies to design a resilient layout that prioritizes safety, regulatory compliance, and long-term operational stability. By addressing complex flood risks head-on, we ensured the facility’s durability in the face of environmental stressors.

This project exemplifies WOODPATEL’s expertise in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions for large-scale solar and energy storage systems. As part of the EPC team, we harmonized technical precision with collaborative execution, enabling the plant to seamlessly integrate into the grid and supply clean energy to thousands of households. Today, the Serrano facility stands as a catalyst for regional sustainability, actively reducing carbon emissions and supporting climate action goals.
