    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • 6 years of design experience of land development (residential or commercial) or transportation and drainage projects

    • Observe civil construction activities in-progress and determine compliance with project plans, details and specifications; recommend acceptance or rejection.
    • Inspect, monitor, and report on all phases of the construction processes for private and public projects.
    • Ensure contractors and other service providers understand the intent of the project plans, details and specifications.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Knowledge of mathematics functions (geometry, basic algebra);

    • Computer skills (MS Office, Civil 3D);

    • Ability to perform all work in a timely, professional and efficient manner while effectively communicating and interacting with engineering team;

    • Prepare ALTA, boundary and topographic surveys, final plats, and legal descriptions for public and private projects.

    • Process survey field notes, perform survey related research, and compile site related information.

    • Knowledge of the Public Land Survey System, title commitments, easements, Arizona Boundary Survey Minimum Standards, and municipal submittal requirements.

    • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center. 

    • Microstation experience a plus. 

    • Knowledge of construction calculation requirements, including reading plans, specifications or details, and as-builts.

    WOODPATEL is seeking a Transportation/Roadway Project Manager. The ideal candidate will direct and administer the activities of in-house and outsourced teams for client services, schedules and participates in the technical resources necessary for overall project completion, and assures high quality services with a heavy emphasis placed on client satisfaction. The active practice of leadership and management skills are essential to this position.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform quality assurance and quality control for project deliverables. 
    • Ability to maintain and develop client relationships with municipalities and public agencies.

    Requirements

    • BS in Civil Engineering and AZ registered professional engineer required.
    • 10 to 20 years of experience with management of roadway engineering for public agencies.
    • Must have demonstrated ability to plan, organize, supervise, coordinate technical work and satisfy clients.
    • Proven track record of successful client interaction including initiating contracts, negotiating contracts, ensuring client satisfaction, and securing referrals. 
    • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing.
    • Capacity to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills with limited supervision.
