Serrano Solar Power Plant and Battery Energy Storage System

The Serrano Solar Power Plant and Battery Energy Storage System is a 220-MW renewable energy initiative designed to enhance sustainable power generation and grid resilience. WOODPATEL played a pivotal role in bringing this ambitious vision to life, delivering a safe, compliant, and enduring infrastructure to support both construction and long-term operations.  Situated within the watersheds of two major washes, the 780-acre site presented complex floodplain management challenges. Leveraging advanced hydraulic modeling and innovative engineering solutions, our team of engineers designed a resilient layout that prioritizes safety, regulatory compliance, and operational stability. By proactively addressing flood risks, we ensured the facility’s durability against environmental impacts.   This project exemplifies WOODPATEL’s expertise in delivering large-scale civil engineering solutions for solar and energy storage systems. As part of the EPC team, we combined technical precision with collaborative execution, enabling seamless grid integration and the delivery of clean energy to thousands of households. Today, the Serrano Solar facility stands as a beacon of regional sustainability, actively reducing carbon emissions and advancing climate action goals.
