Derek has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and project management, all of which have been at WOODPATEL. Derek’s responsibilities include managing the engineering design of grading, paving, drainage, water, and wastewater system for a diverse list of projects throughout Arizona. Derek embraces his role as a consultant for his clients, assisting clients from the entitlement phase through construction administration. Derek has experience delivering civil design and consulting services in various market sectors including multi-family, industrial, public recreation, education, healthcare, hospitality, retail and office. He is adept in working with municipalities and design consultants throughout the valley to deliver well-coordinated, detailed and efficiently designed projects in a timely manner. Derek enjoys the challenge of projects with complex grading and drainage aspects, including projects with dense site plans and high topographic relief.  Derek’s aim is to create projects that realize the client’s vision and are meaningful to the community.
