Willow Springs
This project within the 22,000-acre Willow Springs Ranch in southern Pinal County has a rich ranch and Native American history. Responsibilities included Section 404 coordination issues and drainage master planning for this steep terrain project. The first development area included approximately 8,000 residential dwelling units and a town center comprising about 4,600 acres. WOODPATEL highlights included: 5-mile divided rural highway through ASLD; 2-mile widening design along ADOT SR79; mass grading design of approximately 1,500 acres; preliminary plat for 500 lots; FEMA CLOMR to allow box culvert construction as opposed to a bridge, saving One Million in construction costs.
