Train Depot

Tempe Depot is a proposed multi-use redevelopment of the former 2.5-acre Macayo’s Depot Cantina site in Tempe. The property is uniquely situated between and bisected by three different rail lines – Union Pacific Railroad, Tempe Streetcar, and Valley Metro Light Rail. The project will consist of two 17-story towers featuring office and hotel space and ground-level retail, restaurant, and lobby spaces for office and hotel use. An amenity deck will span between the towers over the existing Light Rail. In addition, the current train depot building will incorporate into the design of the redevelopment, with the potential to serve as an active train station for future Amtrak service. WOODPATEL provided services, including topographic survey, ALTA survey, irrigation easement requirements, area map of water use, storm drainage, and transportation reports unique to the railways in the area.
