The Silverstone Marketplace is an upscale, master-planned retail, restaurant and commercial development located within the Silverstone community of north Scottsdale. This 75,000 square-foot shopping center on 12-acres features a signature Sprouts Farmers Market “anchor” store plus nine independent shops with outdoor patio areas, connections to the adjacent public pathway system, and scenic landscaping. Challenging site design issues included compliance with site specific master water, sewer, and drainage plans. A public water system, private storm, and sewer collection systems traverse the site around large underground detention storage tanks and complex dry utility networks. Additional design challenges included designing nearly flat pad sites on a development with over 30 feet of vertical grade change, adjacent to a large regional drainage corridor and two major public arterial roadways. WOODPATEL also provided survey certification services to demonstrate compliance with FEMA flood zone and City of Scottsdale requirements for building finish floor elevations.
