Footprint Center

WOODPATEL was the civil engineer for this $230 million renovation of the Footprint Center, home of the Phoenix Suns basketball team. The Civil scope included new fan experience plazas along with secured private entry for the players and their guest. In addition, a relocated Commissary and dining patio required a new dock on the west side of the arena. Several underground existing wet and dry utilities had to be rerouted around the new food service areas. Extensive survey and coordination with the City of Phoenix was required to accommodate an enhanced attraction for this existing arena with in the entertainment district of downtown.
