SkySong Innovation Center Masterplan

The SkySong mixed-use masterplan development encompasses 1.2 million square feet of research and office space, 600 residential units, 95,000 square feet of office space for the City of Scottsdale, and a 200-unit hotel. WOODPATEL was the lead civil engineer and provided masterplan civil engineering design for infrastructure, mass grading earthwork, grading, drainage, roadway, storm drain, and water and sewer plans for various projects.

As a phased development led by Plaza Companies, in partnership with ASU University Realty, the City of Scottsdale, and Holualoa Companies, the initial campus development included two 143,000-square-foot buildings and a 600-space parking garage. The second phase included student housing consisting of 325 units in 4-story row-type apartments and a multi-story parking garage. In addition, WOODPATEL also provided services for Building 3, a 100,000-square-foot building on an 8.5-acre site and a parking lot with over 400 spaces. In addition, there has been extensive utility coordination, including storm drain, sanitary sewer lines, and domestic water lines.
