This resort and retail project is on a challenging hillside site in northern Arizona. The site, located at the intersection of Arizona 89A and 179, obtained special approval for the strict hillside restrictions after numerous coordination meetings with the City and the Planning and Zoning Commission. The resort component includes a guest check-in building, swimming pool, activity building, maintenance-laundry building, tennis courts, and 109 units in 21 clusters. The retail district had six buildings and a pedestrian mall with over 32,700 square feet of leasable retail and restaurant space. Civil engineering plans included:

• Preliminary plat
• Grading plans
• Retaining wall plans and water plans
• Sanitary sewer plans
• Coordination with the geotechnical engineer for particular hard dig requirements

WOODPATEL also provided construction observation, administration, and inspection for ADEQ approval. The City approved construction documents of the Sedona engineering department and permits for construction.
