Banner Health Center at Verrado
As the Verrado master-planning engineer of record, this facility was a compliment to the overarching community. WOODPATEL was selected as the Civil Engineer for Banner Health’s proposed 62-acre medical campus in Buckeye, Arizona. Phase I of the health center is approximately 8-acres of the overall medical campus and is designed in three sub phases to accommodate anticipated population growth and demand. Phase 1A consisted of a 12,500 square-foot medical office building with private access drives, parking, landscaped open space, and utilities. Phases 1B and 1C are designed to add approximately 8,000 square-feet and 40,000 square-feet of medical office space, respectively. WOODPATEL implemented a number of cost conscious engineering solutions, including a temporary storm water retention design that eliminated the need for three drywells, an approximate $45,000 savings. WOODPATEL’s services included field topographic survey, grading, and drainage design, earthworks analysis, water and sewer system design, and construction assistance.
