ASU Tempe Student Recreation Center Expansion
WOODPATEL served as the civil engineer for the 75,000 square-foot building expansion to the existing Student Recreation Center on ASU’s Tempe campus. The plans included demolition, grading and drainage, water and sewer, storm drain, and storm water retention facilities. Ten foot diameter underground corrugated metal pipe was utilized on the site to minimize the storm water retention footprint. Special attention was given to the design of ADA accessible routes throughout the project. Once completed, the project will be at minimum a LEED NC Silver certified project by the US Green Building Council.
