ASU Health Futures Center
Arizona State University has developed a 24-acre Health Solutions Innovations Center in north Phoenix and the Desert Ridge adjacent to the Mayo Clinic Phoenix location. WOODPATEL provided master planning services for the drainage, water, and wastewater systems to assist ASU with the future planning of the entire Campus. The team was responsible for Civil Engineering design services, including grading and drainage, water and wastewater, storm drain system, offsite water and wastewater, and public paving improvements. Additionally, grading and drainage design for the pedestrian bridge and pedestrian trail is required to cross the sizeable regional wash that connects the ASU Campus with the adjacent Mayo Clinic. Because the project is in a FEMA floodplain, WOODPATEL worked with the design team to obtain elevation certificates meeting FEMA requirements. The WOODPATEL survey team established horizontal control and provided a topographic survey.
