WOODPATEL provided civil engineering services for this three-story multi-family development in Old Town Scottsdale, known as The Standard at Valley Ho. The project is located at the southwest corner of Main Street and 69th Street, directly south of the Hotel Valley Ho property. It featured 134 residential units wrapped around a private center courtyard. Courtyard amenities include a pool, a fitness center, fire pits, grilling and cooking areas, and a rooftop lounge. Unique land development and site challenges included a constricted interior courtyard’s storm drain and drainage design and creative grading design to provide the maximum building footprint while maintaining ADA accessibility. In addition, extensive design team coordination required elaborate routes to the storm, sewer, and water within the sub-grade parking garage.
