ASU Polytechnic Campus Academic Buildings

The Polytechnic Campus is continuously transforming from a US Air Force Base to a higher education campus. The 17-acre project included improvements and the removal of several existing buildings and parking lots for the three new 250,000-square-foot total academic buildings, sidewalks, and an adjacent roadway in the center of the Campus. The educational facilities include:

  • Laboratories
  • University classrooms
  • Faculty offices
  • A lecture hall
  • A fine art building with a black box theater
  • Painting and drawing studios
  • A gallery space
WOODPATEL plans included demolition, grading and drainage, water and sewer, storm drain retention facilities, and construction staking. Throughout the project, WOODPATEL gave special attention to the design of fire lanes and ADA-accessible routes. As a result, this project was LEED Gold Certified by the USGBC.
