Downtown Civic Space Park

This three-acre park is located in the heart of Phoenix near Arizona State University’s downtown campus. WOODPATEL utilized sustainable design techniques to minimize storm water run-off. Hard surfaces were created with pervious concrete and pavers that reduced heat reflection and allowed rainfall to be introduced back into the soil naturally. Civil improvement plans, survey, and construction administration services were provided for this project that was awarded Best Landscape and Urban Design Project in the United States at the annual McGraw Hill Construction National Best of the Best Awards.
