Wood/Patel provided all civil engineering for the Town of Gilbert’s new municipal office complex during both Phase I and Phase II. Phase I was one of the first design/build municipal projects undertaken in Arizona. The project was a turn-key operation that provided a two-story building with 35,000 square-feet of Class “A” office space and parking for 100 cars. Phase II consisted of a two-story expansion of the original facility which included 19,250 square-feet of additional space and was completed five weeks ahead of schedule. More specifically, Wood/Patel provided grading, drainage, and paving design to incorporate the storm drain extensions from the building and parking lot to route the storm water to relocated retention basins. In addition, water and sewer extensions were provided to the building to provide proper service for both Phase I and II and provide on-site fire protection.
