Wood/Patel has provided engineering services for several simultaneous projects to complete development of the resort campus, including the rezoning of three residential subdivision sites covering over 60 acres; the conceptual design of a 1.5-mile section of a major river park along the Canada del Oro, one of the major river systems in eastern Pima County; and engineering assistance for the addition of 9 new holes of golf and the remodeling of an existing 9-hole golf course in concert with Lehman Golf Design within the greater OMNI Tucson National Resort and Spa campus. Wood/Patel also served OMNI Hotels for several multi-faceted improvements within the Tucson national campus including design support of multi-unit guest quarters, new swimming pools, recreation areas, a new restroom on the golf course; design support of the expansion of the Turf Care Facility; and design and construction surveillance of 4,700 linear feet of new private sewer through the golf course. Wood/Patel coordinated the design efforts to provide new roads, potable water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage systems, and site grading. This multi-disciplined project team included visionary landscape architects and Wood/Patel demonstrated a proactive attitude to keep pace with the evolving, creative project design from the initial design charrette stage through the specifics of construction management for this $50 million renovation.
