A critical entity for the master-planned community of Verrado, WOODPATEL was the civil engineer of record for this entire association. This combination fire and police station for the Town of Buckeye is located on a 1.2-acre site within the Verrado Master-Planned Community on the west side of Verrado Way, just south of Thomas Road. WOODPATEL prepared permit-ready civil construction documents for grading, drainage, potable water, and sewer improvements. The scope also included off-site issues including the design and construction of a median break and turn lane on Verrado Way together with traffic signal studies on nearby intersections. WOODPATEL engineered an off-site drainage solution to eliminate the need for on-site retention basins. The project received LEED Gold certification.
