Scholarship Program
Wood/Patel is a civil engineering/land surveying and construction management firm that is locally owned and operated. Wood/Patel is an award winning company that enjoys an outstanding reputation in the engineering community.
With over 150 skilled team members, we are able to provide civil engineering, land surveying and construction management services for both private and public sector clients. Our private sector specializes in master-planned communities, large scale mixed use commercial and sports projects. The public sector team focuses on transportation/traffic projects, water/wastewater improvements, structures, water resources, with emphasis on challenging hydrologic/hydraulic projects and construction management services.

Wood/Patel is pleased to offer a $1,000 Per Academic Year Scholarship to one qualified candidate from Arizona State University and one qualified candidate from The University of Arizona who meets the following criteria. The goal of the scholarship program is to provide you with a paid summer internship and that upon graduation; you can apply for a position with Wood, Patel & Associates, Inc.
Requirements:
- Must be an Arizona resident.
- Must be enrolled in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Must be considered a junior for academic standing.
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Demonstrate leadership ability on campus and/or within the community.
- Scholarship recipients will participate in a paid summer intern program at Wood, Patel & Associates, Inc., between their junior and senior year.
- Attach a completed Application Scholarship Form and include the following:
- Complete transcript of the applicant’s scholastic record.
- Attach a letter of recommendation from a faculty member including GPA and Class Rank.
- Letter of recommendation from one additional person.
- Attach a personal essay stating why you think you are deserving of this scholarship and what you are going to do to give back to the community once you graduate.
