Our benefit package has evolved to reflect the needs of today's employees. A flexible work schedule allows most employees to work a four and one-half day work week. In addition to firm-paid employee medical, dental and life insurance, we offer a 401(k) retirement plan and a profit sharing plan. Flexible Spending Accounts, Bonus Programs, and Professional Development are just a few of the many exciting features in our benefit package.

BENEFIT SUMMARY

Holidays Wood/Patel observes eight holidays per calendar year.
PTO Full-time employees: 0-5 years - 15 days; 5-10 years - 20 days; 10+ years - 25 days
Work Week Workload permitting, Wood/Patel employees work a four and one-half day week.

INSURANCE BENEFITS

Health Health insurance coverage is provided by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arizona to the employee at no charge. There is a minimal charge for dependent coverage.
Dental Delta Dental of Arizona to the employee at no charge, your choice of dentist. Employees pay for dependent coverage.
Vision Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arizona Vision
Life Insurance Employer paid coverage - minimum of $25,000.
Voluntary Life Allows you to buy additional life insurance for you and/or spouse and children through payroll deduction.
Voluntary Short-Term Disability Allows you to purchase coverage for yourself through payroll deduction.
Flexible Spending Accounts
(Section 125)
FSA’s allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for allowable healthcare and dependent care expenses.

RETIREMENT BENEFITS

401(k) Eligible employees may defer up to the maximum allowable.
Profit Sharing Discretionary contribution based on eligible employee earnings as determined by the Board of Directors each year.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Professional Development To encourage professional development, full-time employees are eligible for reimbursement of job-related education courses, professional registration fees, and organization dues, as appropriate.
In-House Training Wood/Patel is committed to employee development. To encourage a constant flow of new ideas, ongoing training is offered to employees throughout the year.
Bonus It is the intent of the firm to distribute bonuses, at least annually, based on availability of funds, to all personnel employed by the firm.
Annual Development Review Process Each employee's performance is reviewed annually to encourage feedback and coaching.
Service Awards

Wood/Patel employees enjoy a variety of awards recognizing their service to Wood/Patel. Birthdays are recognized for every employee. Employee anniversaries are recognized on an individual basis, based on years of service.

Annual Events

In the past, Wood/Patel's employees have enjoyed events such as a Family Spring Picnic, featuring games and team building activities, a Barbecue at Reata Pass to celebrate our surveyors surviving another Arizona summer, and a Holiday Party in December to end the year on a high note. Our intent is to continue to have these events when economically feasible.

Employee Referral Bonus Employees who refer potential employees that are ultimately hired for a full-time position are eligible for a referral bonus.
Charitable Contributions Wood/Patel, in partnership with St. Mary's Food Bank, is committed to feeding the less fortunate in our community. To this end, Wood/Patel matches dollar for dollar all employee contributions. Employees also participate in Rebuilding Together, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and various community outreach programs throughout the year.
