Wood/Patel was responsible for the overall project coordination, construction inspection, construction survey, quality control, meeting documentation, progress reporting, and budget control for this regional flood control project consisting of two 10-acre retention basins, more than two (2) miles of storm drain piping, and new curbing and pavement. The project located along 91 st Avenue from Union Hills Drive to Bell Road , also included the landscaping and irrigation systems for both detention basins, allowing them to be used by the public as recreational areas. The storm drain system includes 96-inch cast in place pipe and 84-inch reinforced concrete pipe. Due to the complexity of the project, Wood/Patel provided full-time construction management services. During construction, the City asked us to provide an additional $300,000 of street construction services to the project.
