Center Drive PDF Print
City of Scottsdale

The City of Scottsdale has contracted with Wood/Patel to provide two Design Concept Reports (DCRs), feasibility reports, and the final design for their Center Drive Improvement Project. This project includes a DCR and final design for 74th Street to Hayden Road, a DCR for the Loop 101 frontage road: Scottsdale Road to Hayden Road (including an underpass at Miller Road), a feasibility study for Center Drive: Hayden Road to Pima Road, and a feasibility study for the Loop 101 frontage road: Hayden Road to Pima Road. The design for Center Drive will include a 4-lane divided roadway with curb and gutter, a 16-foot wide landscaped median, bike lanes on each side of the roadway, lighting, and traffic signals. Drainage improvements will also be included that will involve culverts and upstream swales. Our team has been able to effectively coordinate the multiple stakeholders on this project due to our many years of experience in this particular area. These stakeholders include the Arizona State Land Department (ASLD), Arizona Public Service (APS), the City of Scottsdale, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Salt River Project (SRP), the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), DMB, Inc., and Lund Cadillac. Construction is scheduled to begin at year end 2004 and should be complete by Christmas 2005.
