This project consisted of the extension of a public water transmission main by 3.4 miles, starting at Bell and Scottsdale Roads, going north to cross the Bureau of Reclamation's Central Arizona Project (CAP) to Mayo Boulevard , then turning west and extending to 56 th Street . Wood/Patel employed a full-service approach of field surveying, plan preparation, specifications, and construction management to meet the fast-paced timeline of this project. The project involved extensive coordination with the consultant preparing the Mayo Boulevard paving plans, as the waterline transmission pipe had to be in place before the paving contractor could perform their work. A further time constraint was placed on this project by the scheduled opening dates for two large hotels being developed in the area. Through Wood/Patel's extensive coordination with the City of Phoenix , City of Scottsdale , CAP, and the Mayo Boulevard consultant, this project was completed on time and within budget.
