Wood/Patel provided project specifications and construction documents – vital engineering services necessary to make Bank One Ballpark a success. Other services included preparation of onsite demolition utility abandonments, mass excavation, the ballfield's drainage system, perimeter hardscape improvements, and the sub-level drainage pump system.

The engineering profession has repeatedly expressed its admiration for the ballpark and has bestowed upon it dozens of awards. In recognition of the facility's originality, complexity, social significance, and economic impact, Bank One Ballpark was named project of the year in 1998 by the Arizona Society of Professional Engineers.
