Arizona State Parks & Trails Ranked Best in the U.S.

Arizona State Parks and Trails (ASPT) was recently awarded the Gold Medal for the best managed park system in the nation by the National Recreation and Park Association. The Gold Medal Award honors park systems that demonstrate excellence in long-range planning, resource management, and innovative approaches to delivering superb park and recreation services with fiscally sound business practices. Selected as a Final Four candidate in May, ASPT has spent the past two years establishing a self-sufficient funding structure, implementing a new plan to reinvest in the park system, and achieving record visitation and revenue.

Wood/Patel feels honored to have played a role in supporting ASPT’s goals involving Kartchner Caverns State Park, AZFLAP Grant Support, Rockin’ River Ranch State Park, Patagonia Lake State Park, Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Roper Lake State Park, Lost Dutchman State Park, Lake Havasu State Park, Oracle State Park, Catalina State Park, and Buckskin State Park. Congratulations to the ASPT leaders and staff and all involved in making Arizona State Parks and Trails the best the country has to offer!
